International Women'S Day 2025. International women's day (march 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. Iwd will take place on saturday the 8 th of march 2025, where women from all over scotland will attend in person and listen to inspiring speakers in the scottish parliament debating chamber.

Today, as we commemorate the 25 th anniversary of the international day for the elimination of violence against women, we recommit ourselves to the urgent work of ending. Officially adopted by the united nations in 1975, the story of international women’s day goes back further in history.
